´´The authors boldly demonstrate their capacity to survey both the biological evolution and widely varied human cultures´ uses of cannabis. In doing so, they have produced a work that is thorough, globally ambitious, and carefully constructed. The extraordinary power and range of their cross-cultural perspectives are likely to elicit fresh consideration of familiar studies.´´ ?Richard Tucker, School of Natural Resources and Environment, University of Michigan´´Cannabis is one of the best, if not the best history of the extraordinary plant Cannabis sativa that I have read. It is encyclopedic in its scope, painstakingly documented, and well written. A must for libraries, cannabis scholars and the growing number of readers who are interested in this remarkable plant.´´ ?Lester Grinspoon, Emeritus Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and author of Marihuana Reconsidered and Marihuana, the Forbidden Medicine´´This is a unique and valuable work. It aptly summarizes the voluminous literature on cannabis to bring the reader a better understanding of its origins and uses, as well as the relationship with man, its chief employer and manipulator. The authors´ experience in the subject makes them uniquely qualified to synthesize and interpret the material in a coherent manner.´´ ?Ethan Russo, President of the International Cannabinoid Research Society
Before you can start making extracts, there are a few things that you need to know. Basic terms: The terms that are listed here are the terms that are going to be used to describe the consistency of your extract; however, you may realize that some of these terms are also used when looking at the name of the extract. Live resin: this is the extract that you will take from a fresh plant rather than a dried plant Crumble: chunks of dried extract or plant Shatter: an extract that is hard and candy-like Wax: extract that is stretchy and going to stick together even after it has cooled Cannabis extracts Many of the extracts that we are going to discuss in this section are going to be listed later on in the audiobook with the process in which you are going to be able to follow to make that particular extract. My wife Jenny and I moved to Denver, Colorado, three years ago from Knoxville, Tennessee, due to my job. But sadly four months after moving to this beautiful state, I lost my job. At first, we thought about moving back, but then we realized there was nothing that we left behind worth going back to. But I will admit it was very hard at first just to keep the roof over our head. Then Jenny suggested one day that we should start a cannabis baking business as we both enjoyed it as a hobby since we moved to Colorado. Since we didn´t have the funds to start an actual bakery, we just made a bunch of cookies and brownies one day and took them too many of the marijuana dispensaries and had them try some samples. Little did we know, in just three weeks we had enough orders from seven of these places where we had to work 12-14 hours a day to fulfill those orders. Fast forward to the present, we are still baking every day, but now we have hired three helpers and rented a commercial kitchen, business has been growing, and we finally found what we both enjoy doing. Jenny had this idea for a while now that we should put together a recipe book where we share some of our best cannabis recipes so everyone can enjoy the sweetest high time like we do here. So, here it is, our first try in writing such recipe book, and hopefully it will be something that can bring a big smile to everyone´s face (after you taste the sweetness of some of these great recipes). 1. Whatever you choose to call it, it´s been a health aid, comfort, and life-enhancer for humankind for more than three thousand years. In this fun, illuminating book, cannabis journalist Amanda Siebert delves deep into the latest research to separate marijuana fact from fiction, revealing ten evidence-based ways this potent little plant can improve your life. She speaks with some of the world´s top researchers, medical professionals, and consultants to answer questions such as: Can cannabis help you get a full night´s sleep? Does it aid in exercise and weight loss? Can it really cure cancer? She also offers practical advice for maximizing its benefits-including easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions for how to enjoy everything from joints to edibles, CBD oil to oral sprays-as well as examples of real people who have used cannabis to enhance their lives.
